Our history

Colorful painting of a woman with flowers in her hair against a blue background.

Our love for a good Café de la Olla traces back to the vibrant streets of San Juan de los Lagos, Mexico.

At A Romo’s Café, we blend the richness of our colorful heritage with the warmth of our humble roots.

Located in Hayward, we take pride in cooking, serving freshly brewed coffee, and connecting with our cherished customers.

A Romo’s Café reflects the spirit of Mexicanidad, which is why Frida Kahlo plays a central role in our environment. Kahlo’s work captures the essence of this cultural pride, a movement born after the Mexican Revolution. Her art, rich in traditional symbolism and folk elements, continues to inspire and celebrate the beauty of Mexican heritage.

We hope every customer savors a taste of our culture in every bite!
